What type of Toothbrush and Toothpaste should I be using?
A soft toothbrush either manual or electric and non-abrasive fluoride toothpaste is recommended. A soft brush will prevent damaging your teeth and gums and a toothpaste with fluoride will help strengthen your teeth and help prevent decay.

Are Dental x-rays safe and are they needed?
Dental x-rays are considered extremely safe as they have very low dose of radiation. Dental x-rays are used to properly diagnosed things that cannot be seen by the naked eye. Pregnant woman are generally advised to avoid x-rays unless an absolute emergency. Although the radiation is minimal, it is best to advise your dentist or hygienist if you are pregnant or if there is a chance that you are pregnant.

What are some early signs of dental trouble?
Some early signs of dental trouble include bad breath, tooth decay, gum disease, mouth sores, tooth sensitivity and toothaches.

Am I a candidate for tooth whitening?
Not everyone is a candidate for tooth whitening and options should be discussed with the dentist. The reason for this is that whitening is not always recommended if you have tooth colored fillings, crowns, caps or bonding of your front teeth as the whitening will not change the color of these materials making them stand out.
